It was on 9th January 2017 I had the opportunity to visit a little peace of heaven about 21 km from Bokaro. It was beyond my wildest imagination that such a place can exist so near to us but we are not aware of it. In the midst of wilderness it is a small charity hospital where only local rural people who are devoid of modern health care get high quality surgical treatment for their children's ailment. The project is suitably assisted by few noble hearted doctors and supporting staff from Germany who comes once/twice a year to run the show. The surgeries done are of tertiary level standard, but performed in a very modest set up with fantastic outcomes. After being around there for a whole day, an instinct developed in my mind about paediatric orthopaedics surgery and almost certainly I am going to have my hands on it soon. Probably the first opportunity to work along the German colleagues will be by Mid April 2017. Would be eagerly awaiting for the D day.
