Unimaginable - That can be the nearest description of the devastation caused by Yaas to the people living in Sunderban and adjoining areas. Kachukhali is the village where there have been extensive damage caused by the ingress of sea water in the agricultural fields and ponds causing destruction of crops and fishes. People have lost their belongings and the land is not usable for agriculture for next few years. Durgapur Young Adda Association arranged some relief work there encompassing distribution of food, baby powder and garments for the people who have nothing more to loose. Dr. Dipankar Sen from Prayas joined the DAYA team and did whatever possible from our side to get some smile back on the face of these people. Kudos to the DAYA team
